Today, Bridget Ziegler announced the support of Paul Schafer. Dr. Schafer is a Professor of Education (37 years), former School Board member (15 years), and third-place finisher in the August 26th Primary Election for Sarasota County School Board, District 1.

Paul Schafer's educational background includes: Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education & Minor in Psychology, Slippery Rock State College (65); Master’s in Special Education & Minor in Psychology, University of Pittsburgh (66); Doctor in Reading & Language Arts, University of Pittsburgh (73); Master’s of Science in Education Administration, St. Bonaventure University (75).
Dr. Schafer served as a Professor of Education at St. Bonaventure University for 37 years, a School Board member in Olean, NY for 15 years, is a board member of Sarasota County Literacy Council, and holds a Florida Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education, English, and Reading.
